Liberal Appointee's Time Ran Out

Mrs. Keen, failed to protect the health of Canadians when she shut down an AECL nuclear reactor that produced medical isotopes, essential for critical medical procedures, . Linda Keen is the President of The Nuclear Safety Commision an independent governing body.

It is suspicious that Linda Keen a liberal appointee caused the Conservative Government such embarrasment; under the circumstances Energy Minister Gary Lund dropped the ball and many fingers are pointing at the PMO as well. The question is, would a more sympathetic Conservative appointee have handled the situation differently?

I say absolutely. Linda Keen's dismissal was necessary for Minister Lund to continue to oversee the Energy Portfolio with confidence, the only alternative was for Minister Lund himself to resign but that is unlikely "Cabinet Minister Elect" beats out Senior Civil Servant (Liberal) Appointee anyday.
